Antenna IoT Platform
Designing a Scalable Industrial Telemetry Pipeline Parsing 300M+ Data Logs Daily.
The Challenge
Industrial manufacturing plants generate millions of telemetry updates per hour that must be ingested, checked for anomalies, and stored for predictive audits. Antenna Networks needed a highly reliable pipeline that could ingest data from over 50,000 active manufacturing units without failing under heavy workloads.
The Solution
ClarvoTech engineered a high-throughput telemetry pipeline using Golang microservices running on a managed Kubernetes grid. We implemented Apache Kafka to buffer incoming streams, processing over 300M data logs daily. Telemetry data is parsed and written to a multi-node TimescaleDB cluster for time-series aggregation, with hot queries cached in Redis for fast rendering on dashboards.
The Process & Implementation
We defined Terraform scripts to provision AWS EKS clusters and Kafka event grids. We built live dashboard widgets using Grafana and Prometheus to track data flow metrics, buffer backpressures, and system uptime. The entire system is packaged as Helm charts for zero-downtime rolling updates.
The Results Delivered
The Antenna IoT platform achieved full production deployment, processing millions of metrics daily with sub-second processing latencies and 99.99% system availability.
Business & System Impact
- 300M+ Logs Daily: Seamlessly ingests large-scale telemetry data from international manufacturing units.
- Sub-Second Alerting: Detects hardware anomalies and sends SMS alerts in under 1 second of occurrence.
- 99.99% System SLA: Robust Kafka queue clustering ensures zero data loss during cloud node failovers.
